Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Brunswick, GA, is seeking a Structural Mechanic I for 1st shift and weekend shifts. Under moderate supervision, you will perform structural assembly operations in a production department.

Responsibilities include riveting, fitting parts, reading blueprints, maintaining logs, and ensuring FAA compliance and Gulfstream quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; Solumina and Smarteam experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year related structural assembly experience.
  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
  • Graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may receive 1 year credit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, including drilling and riveting.
  • Rivet structural assemblies and sheetmetal parts using required tools.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence.
  • Ensure finished assemblies meet FAA requirements and Gulfstream quality.
  • Maintain logs and enter daily labor against Work Orders.
  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins and fasteners.
  • Maintain a neat, safe work area and support 5S and safety regulations.
  • Be able to work any shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
