Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) seeks qualified engineers for an on-site role at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The position focuses on structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses for flight hardware, spacecraft, and exploration missions, with FE modeling and reporting to support design reviews.

You will perform system-level analyses, develop documentation, and contribute to test procedures while collaborating with NASA stakeholders and project teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Proficiency with Patran and/or FEMAP and NX or MSC Nastran; document analysis and guide design.
• Experience documenting reports and memos in MS Word and PowerPoint; present to NASA groups and project leadership.
• Experience with Python programming or similar.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
• US citizenship is required or Permanent Residence.

Mansioni

• Perform System-level structural and thermal analysis supporting flight, ground, and test hardware design and development
• Perform Finite Element modeling/analysis in environments ranging from earth to other planetary atmospheres
• Perform static/dynamic loads and stress analyses of complex aerospace systems
• Develop reports, presentations and other documentation
• Generate assembly/integration and test procedures
• Knowledge of acceptance standards for spaceflight hardware applications
• Attend meetings and teleconferences and discuss issues in design, analysis, qualification and reports
