Job summary

Cummings Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Engineer III to support physics-based modeling, simulation tools, and system analyses for aerospace programs. This full-time exempt position reports to the Program Manager.

The role focuses on developing simulation models, performing GNC/trajectory analyses, and presenting results to customers and technical leads, with a strong emphasis on completing assignments with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of modeling and simulation experience with complex aerospace systems.
• 6-DOF simulation and GNC experience highly desired.
• Programming experience in MATLAB, C++, and FORTRAN is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models and software for aerospace or weapon system applications.
• Perform GNC analysis, trajectory analysis, and/ or performance analysis of aerospace or weapon system applications.
• Develop advanced technology concepts for missile and aerospace system applications.
• Document and present results to technical leads, management and/or customers.
• Responsible for executing technical assignments with minimal supervision.
• Support the development and on-time delivery of technical products to our customers.
• Assist with program management with defining work products and delivery schedules.
• Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the performance of duties.
• Support other duties as assigned.
