Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in aerospace engineering, preferably within an MRO/Part 145 repair station.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, repair processes, and manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop written and illustrated repair/manufacturing plans, bills of material, and outside purchase specifications.
• Develop, improve, and implement repair processes and tooling for aircraft components.
• Communicate with customers to resolve engineering issues related to repairs, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in quality and engineering reviews of discrepant parts, including root cause and corrective action activities.
• Coordinate new and existing business requirements with Production, Contracts, and Quality teams.
• Support production by troubleshooting technical issues and helping ensure products are delivered on schedule.
• Take on project management responsibilities as assigned and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Aerospace Repair Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Aerospace Repair Engineer to develop repair processes, manufacturing plans, and tooling designs for aircraft component repair and fabrication. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and customers to resolve technical issues and ensure components are repaired safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in aerospace/aviation engineering, preferably within an MRO/Part 145 repair station.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, repair processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and shop-floor personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; AutoCAD and tooling design experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and take a hands-on approach in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder; familiarity with FAA regulations, GE/CFM Engine Shop Manuals, and A&P certification is a plus.
