Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation, operating as RFC, is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Aerospace division on 2nd shift in Shelbyville, KY. The role focuses on QA and QC to meet customer requirements, internal quality plans, and government specs, with a starting wage of $23/hour and potential to $27/hour.

You will inspect materials and products, participate in problem-solving teams, read drawings, operate calipers and micrometers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft products and manufacturing software.
• Quality experience in metals/manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect material, receive components, finished products, and work-in-process to ensure conformance with customer requirements, internal quality plans, and government specifications.
• Participate on problem-solving teams and support CI initiatives.
• Have working knowledge of quality records systems and read drawings.
• Use digital calipers and digital micrometers for measurements and inspections.
• Perform basic first piece/article inspections and calibrations of gages/equipment.
• Notify operator on containment when quality defects are found.
