Job summary

AeroVironment in California is seeking a Quality Technician II to support the Quality Engineering group through First Article Inspection (FAI) and Part Approval Process, NC material handling and related documentation. You will represent the Quality Department in witnessing UAV flight acceptance tests and ensuring accurate records.

The role involves selective inspection, data/document control, and collaboration with QE and other teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related inspection experience.
• Experience with mechanical inspection methods and GD&T.
• Able to read drawings to ANSI Y14.5.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Must have valid California driver’s license.
• Willing to travel daily to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound or outbound FAI and deliverable submissions accurately and timely.
• Conduct selective inspection under QE supervision and document results.
• Process internal non-conforming material per NC procedures.
• Support QEs with Corrective Action Requests and audits.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Contracts for timely delivery.
• Create Final Inspection documentation package (COC, TDs) and support inspections.
• Witness UAV flight acceptance testing and document activities.
• Maintain process instructions and assist continuous improvement efforts using A3/Six Sigma.
