TRIGO ADR Americas seeks a experienced Quality Operations Manager in Redmond, WA, reporting to the Director of Quality Operations. You will bridge customers, suppliers, and QA field teams to execute key initiatives in supplier quality.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years hands-on Quality Engineering in aerospace manufacturing.
  • 5-10 years FAI experience with AS9102 Protocol.
  • Hands-on inspection experience with basic tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, drawings, specifications, and ISO9100/AS9100 QMS.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a quality organization across regional zones to support business objectives.
  • Oversee procedures, processes, and Quality System development and implementation.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives within the supply base and drive improvements.
  • Manage audits, training, and performance metrics for quality teams.
  • Develop and document process control, testing, inspection requirements, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure on-time, on-quality delivery.

Job Summary

Under general supervision and reporting to Director of Quality Operations, the Quality Operations Manager serves as a vital link between the Prime Aerospace customers, their suppliers, and the TADRA Quality Assurance field team for executing and expanding on key initiatives inside of the supplier quality organization. Applicants must have experience in aerospace manufacturing and hands-on quality expertise. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible in high pressure situations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Build an organization including management and working teams, deployed within regional zones, to support TADRA’s business plan and objectives
  • Deploy the necessary team to a wide range of commodity suppliers throughout the US and International
  • Responsible for procedures, processes and Quality System development and implementation
  • Participate in Business Development opportunities, including presentations, RFP responses and contract development
  • Oversee training development and implementation across the organization
  • Direct formal/informal problem-solving initiatives within the supply base
  • Lead, motivate and coach a diverse set of quality engineers and managers tasked with exceeding customer requirements
  • Design, implement and document procedures and process control, testing and inspection requirements and process improvement
  • Establish and implement metrics (process capability, control charts, yield, for measuring effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions and planning
  • Establish collection of analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality
  • Perform other related job duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
  • Quality tools and processes and AS9100 rev D
  • FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations
  • Aircraft Parts and Material Conformity Inspections
  • Special Processes (i.e., heat treating, chemical processing, welding, NDT’s)
  • Business tools including technology and may include the use of statistics and formulas.
  • MS Office

Supervision Exercised:
  • The work is performed under general supervision
  • The Quality Operations Managers will have direct reports including but not limited to SQEs, SDSs, and SPAs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
  • 5-10 years FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) Protocol
  • Hands-on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and experience with inspection methods, techniques, and protocols
  • Strong understanding of Engineering Mechanical Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing, Specifications and GD&T
  • 5-10 years' experience hands-on experience with the ISO9100 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, especially in Production, Quality, and logistics
  • Experience leading customer audits
  • Project management, time management, problem solving and organization
  • US citizenship required
  • Vision exam is required prior to hire.
  • Requirements are as follows:
  • The General Vision Acuity Test shall be performed by an Oculist, Optometrist, or other professionally recognized person. The following requirements shall apply.
  • Near Vision – Eyes meets Orthorater 8 (95% or Jaeger #2 at 12 inches)
  • Far vision – Eyes meets Orthorater 4 (76%) or Snellen Chart 20/50
  • Color Perception – 6 of 9 Orthorater plates
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • US or International citizenship or permanent residence status required depending on work location.
  • Fluent English: reading and writing is required
  • Pass Pre-hire Drug Screening
  • Valid Driver’s License
