Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is offering a summer Quality Engineering Internship in the United States. You’ll work on real technical projects in an aerospace/defense environment, mentored by experienced engineers, and gain hands-on skills across documentation, data analysis, and testing.

As a sophomore or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, you will contribute to planning, learn CAD/MATLAB basics, and support process improvements while pursuing a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college, with at least 6 months until graduation after end of internship.
• Enrolled in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Able to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in actual technical projects and contribute to team objectives.
• Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced industry professionals.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data.
• Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
• Perform hands-on technical work to gain practical experience.
• Work closely with team members, absorb and learn from their expertise, and apply that learning to ongoing projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of best practices.
• Participate in workshops designed to provide a deeper understanding of the business and company culture.
