Consolidated Precision Products in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will develop and maintain CPP quality systems, interpret drawings, and support customer audits.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or 3–5 years of applicable experience (quality systems, and/or training)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), PC skills and program management skills
• Knowledge of quality systems, auditing practices, Six Sigma principles, and Lean Manufacturing
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills
• Career progression with increasing levels of responsibility
• Motivated individual with data‑driven problem solving techniques
• Knowledge of ISO-9000 Standards
• Familiar with mechanical, casting and problem-solving techniques

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and advance CPP quality systems, procedures, and practices
• Interpret customer drawings, GD&T, and specifications
• Communicate with customers to resolve quality system concerns/inquiries
• Routinely audit production lots for adherence and repeatability
• Assist during customer/external audits with preparation and closure
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure quality enforcement of casting manufacturing process and improvements
• Support identification of process yield issues using data analysis techniques
• Generate quality shipment documentation and certificates of conformance
• Drive closure of preventive/corrective actions and non-conformances
• Interact with NDT level III personnel for product compliance
• Develop internal job instructions with clear documentation
• Support Gage R&R, SPC, process capability, and related statistical activities
• Maintain PPAP documentation and related quality records
