Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support quality activities in a manufacturing environment. You will work with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams to resolve issues and ensure products meet requirements.

Responsibilities include handling nonconforming parts, MRB, leading root cause investigations, completing FAI, and supporting APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of aerospace quality engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D and AS13100.
  • Experience with MRB and nonconforming material.
  • Experience with First Article Inspections.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers on quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers regarding quality concerns and returns.
  • Review nonconforming material and MRB items.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Complete and submit First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Use GD&T to understand part and inspection requirements.
  • Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support customer and internal quality audits.
  • Monitor product and process quality.
  • Track and report quality performance.
  • Help improve manufacturing processes and prevent repeat quality issues.
