Job summary

V2X is seeking a senior QA/ Safety Manager to work with senior management to maintain quality assurance, safety programs, and compliance with government guidelines for contractor aircraft operations. The role requires leading a team of QA inspectors and ensuring performance standards.

You will develop manuals, respond to audits, and coordinate corrective actions, while maintaining regulatory changes and ensuring FAA/DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in Quality Assurance/Improvement, ISO-9000, and/or Safety & Environmental Compliance.
• Two years of Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of project planning, leadership, and QA concepts.
• Complete knowledge of aircraft logs and records.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QA and safety programs with senior management, including policies and controls.
• Ensure contract performance conforms to standards and Government guidelines.
• Manage/supervise Contractor Aircraft Quality Control Inspectors.
• Oversee quality and safety programs to ensure compliance under the contract.
• Conduct QA/Safety/Audit inspections of operations and subcontractors.
• Prepare QA/Safety/Hazardous Waste programs, manuals, and revisions.
• Respond to customer concerns and track corrective actions from audits.
• Represent the site to the Navy point of contact.
• Monitor weight & balance, FOD, Calibration, nondestructive testing, corrosion, and tool control.
• Manage inspection branch, including training programs and verification activities.
• Provide guidance to staff to meet safety and quality standards.
• Develop staff and communicate program metrics; monitor regulatory changes.
• Investigate mishaps and oversee technical library; ensure compliance with FAA/DoD directives.
• Ensure modifications and maintenance use approved data; coordinate corrective actions.
