Job summary

KBR is seeking a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector in Houston to inspect incoming materials, components, and assemblies against engineering drawings and specifications. The role emphasizes AS9100 compliance, accurate documentation, and collaboration with suppliers.

You will verify certifications, test reports, and supplier documentation while maintaining records and supporting continuous QA improvements in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Requires reading aerospace drawings and quality inspection knowledge.
• AS9100 familiarity and documentation skills are essential.
• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years QA experience or BS in engineering.
• Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection of raw materials, machined parts, assemblies, and special processes.
• Verify compliance with drawings, purchase orders, specs, and quality requirements.
• Review and validate certifications, test reports, and supplier docs.
• Identify non-conforming materials; initiate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace standards.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within QA.
