Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in machining inspection in a manufacturing setting (aerospace preferred).
• 1+ years using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, surface plates, optical comparators, thread gauges, plug gauges, and surface roughness testers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components using precision tools.
• Read and interpret aerospace drawings (GD&T per ASME Y14.5).
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, FAA requirements.
• Complete inspection reports, FAI per AS9102.
• Maintain quality records and traceability documentation.
• Document nonconformances and support CAPA.
• Perform in-process inspections during machining operations.
• Check material certifications and heat treatment records.
• Ensure full traceability of aerospace components.
• Identify defects and segregate nonconforming parts.
