Job summary

Aery Aviation LLC in Newport News, VA, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams delivering complex aerospace programs from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate holds a PMP certification and an engineering degree, with 5+ years of aerospace or defense PM experience, and a proven record of delivering hardware or integrated systems on schedule and within budget.

Strong knowledge of PM tools (MS Project, Primavera, JIRA/Confluence) and stakeholder management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or related field.
PMP certification — required and active.
5+ years of PM experience in aerospace/defense; multi-disciplinary programs preferred.
Proven track record delivering hardware or integrated systems on schedule and within budget.
Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, tools, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of aerospace projects.
Define scope, deliverables, schedule, milestones, and resource requirements; develop and maintain integrated project plans.
Manage project budgets, forecasting, change control, and cost performance to meet targets.
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, and programmatic risks; maintain risk registers and contingency plans.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
Serve as primary contact for stakeholders; provide status reporting and reviews.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements (FAA/EASA/DO-178/254 equivalents).
Implement PM processes and drive continuous improvement.
Manage supplier performance and contract deliverables.
Facilitate SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR reviews and capture actions to closure.
