Job summary

Ascent Aerospace is seeking a Project Manager to oversee capital equipment projects from design to installation for aerospace manufacturing. You will manage schedules, costs, and performance while coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 5+ years PM experience, and strong communication skills. A Defense/Export control mindset and ITAR compliance are essential, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering or business field with PM concentration or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Program/Project Management role.
• Strong verbal and written communication with solid presentation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/CAD models and understand GD&T.
• Understanding of P&L and cash management for projects; strong Excel skills.
• Proficient with MS Project and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance, cost, and schedule across design and build to meet contract boundaries.
• Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and coordinate with internal teams.
• Build and maintain external and internal customer relationships with proactive communication.
• Track risks and opportunities; develop mitigation and optimization strategies.
• Handle change control, summarize cost/schedule impacts, and pursue value for Ascent.
• Provide leadership in a matrix organization; oversee PMs or team members as needed.
