Job summary

Research Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician in Alexandria, VA. This hands-on role requires experience in the aerospace or defense industries and understanding military standards.

The technician will build and inspect cables, support manufacturing processes, and assist engineers in prototyping. Benefits include health insurance, flexible schedules, and access to wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Military manufacturing is required.
• A US security clearance is necessary.
• Strong attention to quality and detail in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Build and inspect high-reliability cable assemblies.
• Perform shield termination on RF cables.
• Execute waterproofing techniques for cable assembly durability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on prototypes.
• Troubleshoot failures in assemblies.
• Conduct product testing to verify manufacturing quality.

Skills

Experience in Aerospace, Defense, Military Avionics, or Satellite/UAV manufacturing

Building complex wire harnesses and terminating RF connectors

Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD)

Experience with prototyping equipment including 3D printing and laser cutting

Education

IPC-J-STD-001 certification (Soldering)

IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (Cable & Wire Harness)
