We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Tech to join our team. The Production Tech will be responsible for performing production processes, including layup, and conducting quality inspections to ensure the production of precision components and complex assemblies for the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work instructions and procedures while adhering to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing layup processes according to work instructions and procedures.
  • Preparing materials for layup, including cutting and shaping.
  • Laying up composite materials on molds to create specified parts.
  • Ensuring accurate placement of materials to meet design specifications.
  • Using hand tools and other equipment to perform layup tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate records of materials used and work performed.
  • Performing inspections of components and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Documenting inspection results accurately and thoroughly.
  • Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or products.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of production processes, including layup and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and procedures, including engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use hand tools and other equipment effectively.
  • Ability to maintain high attendance standards.
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Procedure and work instruction training: on-the-job and general and all-hands.
