Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner for on-site operations in Stafford, VA. You will translate customer demand, material availability, ERP data, and capacity into executable schedules, coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, inventory, engineering and quality teams.

The role requires 2+ years in production planning (MRP) in an assembly environment, strong Excel, ERP/MRP experience, and a Bachelor's in Engineering.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production planning and scheduling in an assembly-line operation (electro-mechanical).
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups, formulas for production/inventory analysis.
• ERP/MRP experience and strong understanding of scheduling.
• Engineering degree required (manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication.
• Experience in Aerospace/Defense or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Experience with Dynamics / Microsoft Business Central is preferred.
• U.S. citizen or Green Card holder with ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own production schedules aligned with orders, forecasts, inventory, material readiness, and capacity.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for planning, capacity, procurement, and inventory decisions.
• Create, release, maintain, and monitor ERP work orders and schedule attainment.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with Procurement, Inventory, Production, Engineering, and Quality.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, and planning parameters; monitor consumption, output, and order performance.
• Resolve cross-functional scheduling and production issues while adhering to procedures.
