Job summary

Davis Machine is seeking a Production Planner in Euless, Texas to orchestrate CNC-driven workflows and keep aerospace production on schedule. You will collaborate with operators, programmers, and quality control to optimize capacity and meet customer deadlines, ensuring accuracy in documentation and routing information.

The role requires strong planning, technical drawing interpretation, and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to maintain on-time delivery in a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production planning, machine shop coordination, or manufacturing operations (aerospace preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CNC lathe machining processes and machine capability.
• Familiarity with manufacturing small fittings and precision aerospace components (Al, Ti, SS, Inconel).
• Understanding of workflow in high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and production documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using scheduling software, ERP/MRP systems, or similar tools.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet deadlines and capacity.
• Coordinate with operators, programmers, quality control, and leadership to prioritize jobs.
• Monitor work orders, material availability, machine capacity, and labor resources to prevent delays.
• Review technical drawings and engineering specs for accurate scheduling.
• Track progress on active jobs and communicate updates to management.
