Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking an inspector to perform standard operations inspecting parts and materials for prescribed chemical treating and paint processes. You will be trained to follow inspection procedures, read drawings, and enter data into the AIS system.

Responsibilities include verifying process completions after shot peening, anodizing, plating and painting, recording data, and contributing to quality in aerospace manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of decimals and fractions; ability to use measuring instruments for dimensional checks.
• Short specialized training in quality control methods or equivalent.
• 3 months to 1 year Sikorsky experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard inspection procedures and drawings to verify parts and materials meet specifications.
• Inspect items after processing steps (shot peening, welding, etching, anodizing, painting, etc.) and enter data into AIS.
• Identify material, check process completion, and document deviations.
• Record times and temperatures of furnaces, ovens and chemical baths.
• Take samples and maintain test data as required.
• Perform dimensional checks and aluminum hardness tests; inspect surfaces and finishes.
