Performs dynamic analysis using Nastran on large 3D FE models. May oversee the work of other design engineers. Must be a self-starter and take abstract ideas and translate into a plan. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that assignments are completed in a timely manner. Recommends alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Responsible for all internal activities and product development.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.
