Job summary

Héroux-Devtek in Livonia, Michigan, is seeking a Cost Estimator to process customer quote requests, gather data, and build compliant pricing models.

You will work with Account Managers, Purchasing, and Finance to resolve questions, pull prior sales and cost data from ERP, and maintain accurate quote files in our fast-paced aerospace environment. Candidates should have 3–5 years in cost/quote roles and strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in customer-facing quote roles or finance/cost accounting/estimating.
• Experience in Aerospace/Defense manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel desirable.
• Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems; LN INFOR background is a bonus.
• Familiarity with CAS, FAR, and TINA regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer quote requirements and documents to ensure accurate proposals.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and customers to resolve open questions on quotes.
• Research using ERP to gather sales history, material costs, and production data for quotation models.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and vendors to obtain material quotes.
• Drive cross-functional reviews of materials, design, and manufacturing requirements for cost estimates.
• Present cost models to management for pricing approvals.
• Support Account Managers with quotation estimates and post-quote cost justification.
• Prepare certified cost and pricing data and TINA packages with Finance.
• Maintain accurate, organized quote files and logs.
• Assist with forecasting and quality audits of the quote process.
