Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an Electroplater to perform platinum electroplating and surface treatment on aerospace components. You will prepare parts, operate plating equipment, monitor process parameters, inspect finished parts, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma and the ability to read technical drawings, with experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements related to plating operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and use required PPE.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform platinum electroplating on aerospace components in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
• Prepare parts for plating through cleaning, masking, and surface preparation processes.
• Operate electroplating equipment and monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Inspect finished parts and verify coating quality.
• Measure coating thickness and critical dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform basic calculations to support plating operations, including thickness verification, current density adjustments, and process control checks.
• Complete production documentation, inspection records, and quality records accurately.
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
• Support production schedules while maintaining quality and process discipline.
