Job summary

RAM Aerospace in St. George, Utah, is seeking a Plating Technician to work in a high‑compliance chemical processing environment. You will set up and operate plating and coating equipment to apply nickel, cadmium, and other protective layers to aerospace components.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to read SDS and technical instructions, readiness to pass background checks, ITAR requirements, and physical stamina for standing and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• ITAR: US citizen or eligible for ITAR compliance.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or chemical processing experience is a plus; training provided.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and SDS.

Responsibilities

• Plating Process Operation: set up and operate plating and coating equipment to meet aerospace thickness and adhesion standards.
• Surface Preparation & Masking: inspect parts, clean, degrease, and rack for coating coverage.
• Chemical Bath Maintenance: test and adjust plating baths to spec; ensure equipment is in proper order.
• HazMat Handling & Safety: safely handle acids and hazardous chemicals; maintain a clean, compliant area.
• Waste Treatment & Documentation: manage waste per regulations and keep traceable production records.
