Job summary

Trillium Engineering in Hood River, OR seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and support electronic hardware across the product lifecycle. You will focus on analog, digital, and power electronics, perform PCB layout in Altium, and maintain comprehensive design documentation for aerospace applications.

You will collaborate with mechanical, software, and procurement teams, interact with vendors, and support manufacturability reviews while upholding IPC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a developmental engineering environment.
• Knowledge of engineering theories, concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and document analog, digital, and power electronic circuits for aerospace applications.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and fabrication/release packages.
• Support prototype assembly, bring-up, and functional testing.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on prototypes, production units, and RMAs.
• Participate in design and peer reviews; ensure adherence to IPC and internal standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and ensure integration with mechanical and software systems.
• Serve as technical liaison between engineering, procurement, and PCB fabrication/assembly vendors.
• Respond to vendor questions regarding PCB fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing packages.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews during design release.
• Maintain organized design records and configuration control of design artifacts.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal design and documentation processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
