Job summary

ACL Digital seeks a Payload Design Engineer/Mechanical Design Engineer in North Charleston, SC or Everett, WA, onsite. You will develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements across the product lifecycle, using 3-D CAD tools and collaborating with production, suppliers, and customers.

The role involves leading tests, managing supplier development, and supporting certification efforts to deliver interior payload products for aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials) is required.
• 9+ years of engineering experience in design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engineering support and project leadership within a production system.
• Direct engagement with aerospace suppliers or airlines.
• Validating and demonstrating compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Interfacing with regulators and design release processes.
• Design for manufacturing of aircraft cargo compartments and handling systems.
• Assignment of final responsibility based on best fit and experience.
