Job summary

Magellan Aerospace is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The Painter will apply industrial coatings to equipment and components to protect against corrosion and wear, requiring precision and adherence to quality standards in a controlled environment.

Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years in manufacturing. Exposure to Spanish is a plus, with strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read English manuals and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret English documents (policies, manuals, orders) and to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow route card instructions and procedures to ensure correct end products.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints for tolerances and process variations.
• Wear required safety equipment (goggles, respirator, hard hat, etc.).
• Plan job priority and sequence operations; perform surface preparation before/after painting.
• Visually or dimensionally inspect parts for defects and suggest corrective actions.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Design, build and operate safe experimental setups as needed.
• Sand parts and move them between processing areas.
• Support quality requirements and audits aligning with standards.
