Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Painter/Coatings Technician to join a hands-on team. You will mask, prepare, mix coatings, spray, and document work to strict drawing and specification requirements, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and complying with OSHA rules.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 4 years of painting/surface prep experience in aerospace or manufacturing, U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 4+ years painting/surface prep/coating experience in aerospace/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship.
• Preferred: AMPP certification; experience reading technical drawings/ GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow detailed instructions and routers.
• Mask, sand, prep sections and components for coating.
• Mix coatings and achieve proper spraying consistency; perform touch-ups.
• Coordinate painting processes; work with chemicals and PPE.
• Maintain tools and work area; log data per drawings and specs.
