Job summary

NWI Aerostructures in Nashville, TN is seeking a Prep and Finisher (Aircraft Painter) for on-site, full-time work. You will mix, match and apply paints to aircraft components, performing masking, shading and detailing to meet specifications.

The role requires painting experience or a certificate/degree in painting from TCAT or equivalent program, with careful attention to color and finish quality in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Must have been a painter/finisher for two years in a commercial environment or have a certificate/degree in painting from TCAT or similar accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Mixes, blends and matches paints to color requirements and prepares finishes for aircraft parts.
• Prepares surfaces, masks areas and applies coatings by brush and spray equipment.
• Performs shading, blending and final touch-up to achieve required appearance and quality.
• Identifies parts per engineering or blueprint requirements and maintains clean work area.
