Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Orbital Tube Welder II for the B shift at our Long Beach, CA facility. The role involves welding and fabricating fluid systems for Rutherford and Archimedes engines, with a focus on tube welding, bending, and assembly.

You will read blueprints, develop weld schedules, and operate Orbital welding equipment to ensure high-quality, reliable welds. Requires 2+ years OTW experience and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of OTW experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry.
• Experience working with tubing sizes ranging from 1/4" to 6".

Responsibilities

• Develop weld schedules for OTW from tubing sizes ranging from 1/4" to 6".
• Perform tube bending, flaring, fit up, and preparation to meet project specifications and industry standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute tubing projects accurately.
• Operate and maintain orbital tube welding equipment (e.g., Orbitalum or AMI systems) to ensure high-quality welds.
