Job summary

ESI Motion in Simi Valley, CA, seeks an experienced leader to manage the Test Engineer and Production teams on a day-to-day basis for aerospace and defense electromechanical hardware. You will ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget production while meeting quality and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electromechanical manufacturing engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense or Specialized Commercial organization with significant emphasis on electronics or electromechanical manufacturing operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Vendor management and contract skills is desirable.
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and leadership ability.
• Ability to collaborate with other stakeholder disciplines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.
• Space and Defense experience is highly desired.
• Aerospace experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop planning and lead all aspects of manufacturing operations (Test and Assembly) including safety, plans, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee budgets for equipment expenditures and direct/indirect labor; drive production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost, schedule, and quality results.
• Be accountable for product metrics and performance, including on-time delivery and staffing.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility (ESD, ISO9001, AS9100, IPC, NASA, OSHA).
• Manage performance metrics for Test and Assembly teams.
• Coach production and test engineering performance to improve efficiencies and environment.
• Engage in budget/resource planning for upcoming programs.
