Job summary

Firehawk Aerospace in Lawton, OK seeks an Operations Director to lead day-to-day and site-wide production and test operations at a 300+ acre facility. You will drive safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and schedule adherence while guiding cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or technical R&D settings, with proven leadership and strong OSHA/EHS knowledge. DOD clearance and travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in engineering, facility operations, industrial maintenance, or site management.
• Experience leading manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or technical R&D environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EHS, NFPA, and facility safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility production operations and drive execution excellence.
• Coordinate AP Grinding, Propellant Manufacture, Motor Manufacture, Inspection, Assembly, and Test.
• Ensure OSHA, EHS, NFPA, and local regulatory compliance.
• Direct oversight of operations, facilities, quality, safety, logistics, and engineering.
• Manage preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Maintain readiness of utilities, HVAC, gas systems, power distribution, fire suppression, and test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with programs, engineering, safety, and quality to support readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement for safety and reliability.
• Support emergency response planning and risk mitigation.
• Maintain inspection records and regulatory reporting.
