Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation seeks an NDT Technician – Grain-Laue Inspection to inspect aerospace investment castings using grain evaluation and Laue X-ray techniques. The role verifies grain structure, size, and crystal orientation to ensure compliance with engineering and customer specs before advancing in production.

Work involves 4th shift (Fri-Sun) with a $3.50 shift differential. Training provided, and safety and radiation procedures are a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of inspection/ND T experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on aerospace investment castings.
• Align castings and operate Laue X-ray equipment per procedures.
• Evaluate grain structures, grain size, and crystal orientation.
• Make accept/reject decisions based on established criteria.
• Complete inspection records and quality documentation.
• Maintain equipment prep and radiation safety checks.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
