Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Non-Destructive Test Technician 1 to join our Nondestructive Testing team in Promontory, Utah. This role offers entry-level training path in NDT, with potential to obtain a Level 2 certification.

The position covers radiographic inspection of rocket motors, plus other NDT methods, and requires ability to work 4/10 schedule with Fridays off, and rotating shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass NAS 410 vision test.
• Proficient with MS Office and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic inspection (RT) of rocket motors.
• Support other NDT methods: MT, PT, ET, IRT, LT.
• Handle and move energetic and non-energetic parts.
• Cross-train in other NDT methods.
• Work rotating shifts, on-call, weekends, holidays, overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.
