Job summary

X-Ray Industries, an Applus+ company, in Manchester, CT, is seeking an Inspector Trainee to learn how to set up and calibrate NDT equipment, perform tests, and document results under Level 3 approvals. The role provides on‑the‑job training and a clear path to Level 1 within 8–12 months.

We offer trainee development with guidance from Level 2 and Level 1 inspectors, opportunities on 1st and 3rd shifts, and in-house training to support growth in aerospace NDT testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship and legal work authorization required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
• Become familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT method and its process standards.
• Learn to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard and codes.
• Support duties as assigned to contribute to accurate testing and documentation.
