Job summary

Accurus Aerospace Corporation is seeking an NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive testing and processing inspections on aerospace components, ensuring compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements. The role requires ITAR compliance; therefore, candidates must meet the U.S.

Person definition per ITAR. Essential duties include NDT methods such as FPI/PT, visual inspections, blueprint interpretation, and maintaining accurate inspection records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical education or training in Non-Destructive Testing, Quality, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in NDT, aerospace manufacturing, quality inspection, or related environment required.
• Previous NDT certification or qualification in applicable method(s), including Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required NDT certifications and qualifications as applicable to assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs NDT of aerospace components, including FPI/PT, within training and certification scope.
• Performs visual and processing inspections (etch, shot peen, paint, identification) as applicable.
• Reads/ interprets blueprints, specs, work instructions, and technical data to determine inspection requirements.
• Determines and uses appropriate inspection methods, instruments, and equipment.
• Documents discrepancies and initiates nonconformance records as needed.
• Communicates inspection findings to Quality, Operations, and other personnel.
• Maintains inspection records and ensures calibration of inspection equipment.
• Supports internal and external certification processes and audits.
