Job summary

Chromalloy in Tampa is seeking a Metal Worker Team Lead to coordinate daily production, ensure safety, and help teams meet quality, delivery, and productivity goals. This working leader will guide day-to-day operations and remove barriers to optimization.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with experience in manufacturing environments and the ability to read drawings and follow processes. Shift is Sunday-Thursday, 10:00p-6:00a, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, metalworking, or industrial environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of safety requirements and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to support safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Communicate production requirements, priorities, and expectations to team members.
• Ensure staffing, materials, tools, and supplies are available to meet production schedules.
• Lead daily team huddles and communicate performance metrics, safety updates, and operational priorities.
• Monitor production flow and proactively address issues impacting output or efficiency.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for safety, quality, downtime, and productivity concerns.
• Assign work, provide guidance, and reinforce adherence to standard work and safety requirements.
• Track and communicate production performance, schedule attainment, and operational issues to leadership.
• Maintain visual management boards, production metrics, and required documentation.
• Promote a clean, organized workplace through 6S and operational excellence practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with supervisors and cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
