Job summary

X-Bow Systems in Socorro, NM is seeking a Mech/Elec Technician to install, operate, test and maintain manufacturing equipment used in solid rocket motor propellant production. You will own mechanical assembly, repair and maintenance for site operations and program support.

Success means identifying blockers, guiding processes to address anomalies, and meeting installation, commissioning and deployment schedules for components, sub-assemblies and facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with installation/testing/commissioning of mechanical, electrical/controls and fluidic systems/facilities.
• Experience servicing pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, instrumentation, data acquisition, power supplies, PLC panels, etc.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers/technicians.
• Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands‑assembly and trouble‑shooting aptitude.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Must be a US Persons as defined by 120.62 of the ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, test and maintain manufacturing equipment for solid rocket motor propellant production.
• Own mechanical assembly, repair and maintenance for site operations and program support.
• Identify blockers, guide processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls.
• Meet schedule goals regarding installation, commissioning and deployment of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level facilities.
