Job summary

Axillon Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector for a 4-6 month assignment in California. The role supports quality assurance across production, inspecting components and assemblies to meet specifications and reliability standards.

The position operates 2:30pm–12:00am on a Monday–Friday schedule (9/80). Candidates should have 2–5 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with strong attention to detail and proficiency with measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years relevant experience, or vocational training and/or relevant apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of production.
• Analyzes statistical data from processes to confirm compliance or identify deviations.
• Performs visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of assemblies.
• Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting.
• Acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
• Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns.
• Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, tooling.
• Conducts internal audits and corrective action follow ups.
• Regular attendance; may work nights and weekends as needed.
