Job summary

TEEMA Group is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Checker in Central Point, Oregon to design, model, and document mechanical systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools. You will perform detailed checking, prepare complete drawings and documentation, and verify GD&T and BOM accuracy before release.

The role requires 3–5+ years in mechanical design within aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing, plus experience in formal peer reviews and DFMEA-like practices.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks experience is required; proficiency is mandatory.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years in mechanical design within aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing.
• Proven experience in engineering checking or formal peer reviews.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Perform detailed checking and peer reviews of drawings, models, and data packages for accuracy.
• Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and technical documentation per standards.
• Verify GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups, and BOMs for manufacturability prior to release.
• Collaborate with engineers to revise designs for performance and manufacturability.
• Support prototyping, design reviews, and production activities.
