Job summary

Voyager Lunar Systems in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material handling, inventory control and logistics in a high-complexity aerospace environment.

You will mentor a team of material handlers, coordinate with Quality and Engineering, oversee ERP/MRP transactions, and drive procedures to improve property control while supporting budgeting and capacity planning. This onsite role offers a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in materials management in a complex R&D/low-rate production environment OR 14+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with inventory reporting systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily material handling operations, ensuring accurate receiving, inspection, storage, and movement of aerospace materials and components.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of material handlers, providing training on aerospace handling standards, safety, and FOD prevention.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure material readiness for upcoming builds, engineering changes, and configuration updates.
• Oversee ERP/MRP material transactions and ensure timely and accurate inventory reporting to support planning.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conforming material issues and support MRB processes.
• Contribute to the development of materials management procedures and policies that increase the control of all property.
• Support budgeting, capacity planning, and resource management for materials operations.
