Job summary

Extant Aerospace in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Material Handler to perform shipping, receiving, storing, distribution and order fulfillment of products, materials, parts and equipment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2–4 years in electronic manufacturing, a valid Florida driver’s license, and basic computer skills with experience in shop floor control or document management systems. Experience with international shipments is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; plus 2–4 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• A valid Florida Driver's License is required.
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic shop floor control or document management systems.
• Previous experience handling international shipments, customs documentation, and compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift; prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
• Other duties as assigned.
