Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Paint Prepper in Renton, WA for the first shift (4:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday - Thursday, FT Non-Exempt). The role involves surface preparation, sanding, and rework per customer specifications, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Opportunity to contribute to aerospace composite manufacturing and advance within a supportive team. The position requires attention to detail, math proficiency, and experience with tools and chemicals.

Position

The Paint Prepper prepares surfaces for painting according to customer specification.

Experienced/Intermediate level is an experienced individual who uses hands-on skills to perform work. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.

Responsibilities Include
  • Performs surface preparation, including sanding, taping and cleaning.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years experience in Aerospace and similar role

Working Conditions
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)
