Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace-grade production of polymers, composites, and elastomer parts. You will develop and optimize processes, lead NPI from prototype to full production, and drive quality and efficiency improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with molding, extrusion, curing, and fabrication, plus strong skills in reading drawings and GD&T, Lean/Six Sigma, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering with rubber, plastics, composites, or elastomers.
• Hands-on molding, extrusion, composites processing, or polymer manufacturing.
• Strong process optimization and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, RCA, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong communication and cross-functional skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes for polymer and composite products.
• Support NPI from prototype through production.
• Improve yield, cycle time, scrap, quality, and efficiency.
• Support processes including molding, extrusion, curing, and fabrication.
• Develop work instructions, manufacturing plans, and process documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process validation.
