Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist who will set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathe machines from drawings and instructions. The role emphasizes reading CNC programs, maintaining tolerances, and ensuring first article quality while supporting training of junior machinists.

The position requires at least 3 years of CNC lathe experience, familiarity with AS9100/Lean/Six Sigma, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a fully onsite role with benefits and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years experience operating set-up on CNC lathes.
• Skilled in the use of indicators, gauges, dial bore gauges, and plate inspection for first article and in-process inspection of precision parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (.0005 in) on IDs/ODs, roundness, concentricity, squareness.
• Understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture/tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace hard turning or milling.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and read blueprints and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with staff and management positively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with/without assistance)
• Ideal candidate has AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma experience.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Pay range $25 to $35hr. DOE

Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, skills and education.

Brief Description

CNC Lathe machinist is responsible for producing work in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning specification /requirements.

Under general supervision, set-up, operates, and adjusts CNC Lathe machines. Works from drawings and written instructions to create parts. Able to read and interpret CNC programs. May need to make offsets to programs on CNC Machines. Requires knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in the machining process.

May assist and train less experienced machinists.

Desirable Experience, Capabilities And Success Factors

• At least three (3) years experience operation set-up on CNC lathes.
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005”) of ID’s and OD’s, roundness, concentricity, squareness.
• Understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace hard turning or milling.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
