Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Network Infrastructure Technician to support production, launch, and landing activities. You will install and maintain fiber and copper data networks, voice, video, RF systems, and related telecom infrastructure across mission-critical facilities and ground stations.

The role requires hands-on experience with cabling, testing, and documentation, plus ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment and travel to different SpaceX locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 2+ years installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optics, copper cabling, network and telephony systems.
• Experience with audio/video systems and RF equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and document fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling.
• Install and test audio, video, and RF equipment.
• Install cable pathways (trays, racks, J-hooks, D-rings).
• Terminate, test, and document horizontal and backbone cables.
• Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
• Install connectors, pins, terminals, and lugs.
• Perform continuity checks and diagnose wiring issues.
• Investigate and document malfunctions in instrumentation or systems.
• Handle complex tasks involving communications systems and data processing.
