Job summary

Textron Aviation invites interns to join a 10-week program focused on interior design development for aviation cabins. You will collaborate with experienced Industrial Design staff and cross-disciplinary teams, working in an open office environment to drive new product concepts.

You will learn through real projects, mentorship, and hands-on tasks while developing technical and presentation skills essential for a design career in aerospace.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Product Design or related field.
• Experience with Adobe Suite, CAD modeling and rendering software.
• Professional and diplomatic demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management to support multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and follow the project design brief and produce requested deliverables on time.
• Conduct thorough research, ideation, concept generation, and design refinement based on project scope.
• Support Human Factor mockups to inform design development.
• Ask questions, challenge the status quo, and contribute with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Interior Design, and other teams to drive solutions.
• Build engaging presentations that communicate your design journey and final solutions.
• Take part in intern events and facility tours across campuses.
