Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is offering a Finance internship/co-op that provides hands-on support across tax, treasury, accounting, and financial planning & analysis. You will perform data entry, prepare records, and assist with basic financial calculations under close supervision.

You will learn effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and how market trends affect business performance while assisting in filing and complying with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Finance Support Works under immediate supervision to perform support activities in one or more disciplines within Finance (e.g. tax, treasury, accounting, financial planning and analysis, payroll, accounts payable, etc.).
• Performs data entry, records and stores financial data.
• Assists with basic financial calculations according to detailed instructions.
• Assists in sorting and filing correspondence for financial inquiries, and performing miscellaneous clerical duties.
• Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations on all finance activities.
