Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Construction Project Director to lead strategic planning and end-to-end execution of large aerospace facilities projects. You will partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and Leadership to align capital investments with long-term goals.

The role requires 12+ years in construction PM, 5+ years leading industrial projects, and deep knowledge of aerospace environments. Base pay includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in construction project management and a bachelors degree or equivalent years of work experience (16+ years of total work experience).
• 5+ years leading large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and planning for construction and facilities development across aerospace manufacturing sites.
• Oversee end-to-end construction project execution from scoping to commissioning.
• Own capital project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls and evaluate ROI and lifecycle costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production throughput and scalability.
• Lead contractor bidding, negotiation, and contract management; manage safety and compliance.
