Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician at Level 2 or 3 to join our team in Promontory, UT. The role is 100% onsite with a 4/10 schedule and Friday off, performing instrumentation, assembly, testing, and ongoing improvements within our aerospace-focused environment.

Successful candidates will review test plans, drawings, and work to shop planning, applying strong problem-solving and hands-on skills with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation installation and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in test environments.
• Ability to read/test plans and shop drawings; fabrication and setup duties.
• Hazardous chemicals handling and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a collaborative, safety-focused team.
• Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of test fixtures.
• Handle hydraulics, pneumatics, and testing equipment; troubleshoot electronics and electrical equipment.
• Operate testing equipment and tooling; crane, manlift, and forklift operations.
• Maintain safe handling of chemicals and use of bonding agents; support documentation in word/excel/powerpoint.
